OP robertham1 Campfire Regular R Joined: Dec 2013 Posts: 2,465 Likes: 2 California	Wife bought 2 A5 Wagyu NY steaks to cook for dinner. Never cooked it before. Skillet, salt/pepper seems to be the go to method. Any guidance/suggestions? This isn’t my normal cup’o tea.

Jcubed Campfire Outfitter J Joined: Jun 2010 Posts: 9,470	I'd use a skillet and not go above rare with a hard sear on both sides. I'd recommend watching some YouTube videos of Japanese chefs preparing A5 Wagyu. Enjoy!

Per my very limited tasting experience, provided by other benefactors, if this is your first time then skip the BBQ grill and go straight to pan searing. A good salt and no pepper. At a $120lb if you need more than salt you got robbed. Pun intended.
