Finally found a 317-1 no lock. They never made a 3” no lock .22 or so I said if I come along one of these I’d have a hard time not getting it. New in box too!

It shoots minute of snake head at 3 yards so anything beyond that is my fault. I think it should cover a lot of my trail needs. A true kit gun being light and lots of ammo light compared to my other carry guns.

Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

Yep!
mines a no lock black ramp as well, & an important tool in my box.
I'm drawn to plinking with it as it's so neat. But try to save it for more serious tsk.

Gunzo How do you use yours most? Mine will be a hiking option different than my 38’s, 32h&r or 44 special.

That’s like mine, got it when they first came out. It’s a great little gun. Mine sees most use tucked into the chest pocket of bibs or waders.

Really nice light revolvers. I owned two in the past but was never able to shoot them well at distances 20-30 yards. Still, would like to buy another at some point because of how light and small they are. Would be a perfect walking companion as we have many nasty stray dogs on our walking path.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

At 15 yards the groups open up for sure. But for up close work with the weight trade off it’s something that offers carry advantages for sure.

Gunzo How do you use yours most? Mine will be a hiking option different than my 38’s, 32h&r or 44 special. Basically just a walkabout in my woods, maybe an ATV ride. Used to have it on me a lot when I was out goofing off in my big jon boat, but the price went up on them so damn much I started feeling uncomfortable about that. Need something cheaper for that app. With 8 rounds, adj. sights & hardy knowing you have it on, mines been on several outings, even though I have several other options.

J-frames useful for several decades. S&W has ensured they remain so by using modern materials & technics. I don't need them all, & my chores aren't that demanding, but J's are usefull to me. All these have been on outings at one tome or another.
