Stabbings happen all the time. I vote knife.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

The problem with the posted FBI statistics are that it shows "homicides" not murders. Their data included suicides and justifiable homicides including police shootings'.
If we examine it as murders instead we find that the 'blunt instrument" is #1, edged weapons are #2. handguns are at #3 for the most used MURDER weapons.
