Anyone buying one or more foreign currencies as an alternative to the petrodollar collapsing?
U.S. government was established to represent citizens, NOT TO RULE OVER THEM.

Anyone buying one or more foreign currencies as an alternative to the petrodollar collapsing? I've got three 1 pound English coins. Does that count?

There will be no other substitute for the dollar in the foreseeable future.
The Euro never attained $US dollar status, and with Brexit, the EU will be weaker, not stronger.
Ruble is trashed. Chinese Yuan is artificially inflated and not freely traded. If it was, you'd see a mass exodus of capital fleeing China as the million and billionaires get the F out. Crypto? It's taking a beating right now.

I'm covered on foreign currency. Here's three British pounds, one British crown (i.e., a five pound piece), one Canadian nickel, one Canadian penny, one Greek 5 drachma piece, one one-tenth Euro piece, and one Scandinavian something or other with an elk on it. I can live like a king in all these nations should things go south for the dollar.

I'd be on board for buying rubles with a little risk capital.

Bb If you had 1,000 trillion, you could buy a Latte Grande at Starbucks.

Bb If you had 1,000 trillion, you could buy a Latte Grande at Starbucks. Those bills are bringing around $200 in apmex these days. I brought back stacks of them in 2008 and gave them away as gag gifts. Now the jokes on me because they are worth a bit to collectors. Bb

I have a prime minister that I would gladly give away for nothing. That would seriously repair the Canadian economy.

Like you say, at one time you could get them cheap.

I think they got the name pound because a pound used to actually be 16 oz or silver. Yeah, just looked it up: "The pound was a unit of currency as early as 775AD in Anglo-Saxon England, equivalent to 1 pound weight of silver."

I've got a couple of silver Canadian Mapleleafs! Does that count? https://www.jmbullion.com/?gclid=Cj...S-1Wj16xtLhp7Yd2455EaqADURBoCwlIQAvD_BwEWhen purchasing gold/silver coinage, purchase products that show monetary value in another country. I usually buy Canadian, Austrian or Australian. Got a few Mexican "Libertad" coins. 1) non monetary coins are never worth more than their weight 2) American Eagle coins are too expensive in my opinion.. 3) if a coin is stamped United States of America, it can be construed as belonging to the government--- and they can demand it be relinquished 4) foreign (Canadian) currency can't be claimed by the American government You may have earned that dollar, but you've only earned the tight to "hold" that dollar. The currency itself, belongs to the government.
