. Uvalde school police chief Pete Arredondo, thought that the situation had transitioned from an active shooter to a barricaded subject, and that there was "time to retrieve the keys and wait for a tactical team with the equipment to go ahead and breach the door." They didn’t need Keys, the door was NOT Locked, all they had to do was turn the handle/knob and open it.

and this lack of zeal to save the children was not first exhibited at Uvalde. The Parkland shooting, and a host of others, showed that the police are less than eager to do their jobs.
