What is a fair price these days for an unmolested matching number 1899 F gray rat missing the saddle ring? The rifle is sound, has a slight tang crack, the original finish. The serial number puts it as 1912 manufacture.

I bought one two weeks ago in what sounds like about the same condition, only no crack and what sounds like more bluing. In 30-30 and from 1905. I paid 800$ for it. I thought that's about what it was worth, and was pleased with the purchase.
