I should probably flip Carlin and Martin - the more I thought about George, the less funny I found him.

Good list!

Eddie Murphy was nothing other than Richard Pryor II. Listen to Richard Pryor or watch Live on the Sunset Strip then see Eddie Murphy Raw. It was the same act, basically.

Rickles had an acid tongue and nobody was safe from him, not Johnny Carson.

Carson, quick and subtle.

Carlin - thinking man's comic

Robin Williams = Jonathan Winters II. Quick and manic

Rodney - act really worked in movie comedies. Caddyshack is the classic, but Back to School had some great lines.

I don't know Mitch. I'll look into that

Carlin was cerebral but if I wanted that - I'll watch Dennis Miller.
Rodney - on Carson kept Carson crying and Johnny had seen it all - he's my #1 favorite of all time.

I generally placed Pryor too low - mostly because he worked too often with Gene Wilder. I have an irrational dislike for Gene Wilder. No clue why - always been there since I was a kid.

John Pinnette and Gabriel Iglesias are two I REALLY enjoyed but don't know about "top 10" giants of comedy...

John Belushi is also one that's in my top 10 but not a stand up guy so why I wasn't putting him there. Loved John's work on SNL.

I find Eddie Murphy and Richard Pryor to be just foul mouthed blowhards. I can't stand either of them. You can be very funny without having diarrhea of the mouth.

Chappelle and Louis CK need to be in the conversation. Tom Segura isn’t yet but he has time to work his way in.

Joe Biden, what a jokester, I mean joke. Love it when he does the mumbling idiot, or the slapstick comedy of falling down the stairs . Would like to see more of the falling down the stairs thing !

Lewis Black - I like him.

Amy wasn't ever funny to me. Politics aside.
