Which would offer more long term good in this country, Gas tax Holiday or allowing needed pipe lines for transporting oil from supply to demand areas?

Federal tax on gas is 18.4 cents a gallon, at today's prices you won't notice the difference.

Supply and demand, increasing supply is the answer.

Yeah....

My work car holds 15gallons on dead empty. I burn a tank a week.

If I’d fill up, 18.4 x15 =$2.76. Big whoop.

Versus $1.97 gal gas. $1.97 x15 = $29.55. Yesterday $4.19 x 15 = 62.85.

And as much as I hate to say it....
The gas tax is needed for highway funding.

No one likes paying taxes,
and we darned sure know too much is not used properly.
But just cutting taxes without fixing funding issues will lead to
more issues down the road.

Fixing supply is addressing the issue directly.

After, you address the first issue.

Production of crude and refining.

This.

Plus, lower gas prices means more driving creating greater tax revenues. A "win" for both sides.

Chitty policies and chitty results. Every action they take is counterproductive and everything they say is a lie.

Hunterapp: Shirley you jest!
If china joe and his ho were only smart enough or politically savvy enough to just continue President Donald J. Trumps policies they would not be in going down the schitter like they are.
And the United States of America would be so much better off.
But they aren't so we are screwed.
EVERYTHING china joe and his ho have touched they have made things worse for the United States of America - I conclude, now, that they are intentionally doing so!
I don't know why?

Any significant tax cut is a good tax cut.

I ask, why not both?

Considering this bullshidt admin won't do anything to produce oil, I'll take the tax cut.

I prefer more production but that won't happen

I think the vast majority of people with multi a digit IQ understand that the gas tax holiday is a silly ass ploy, that will provide no significant help.

Increasing supply and building some more refinerys are the answer. The Bakken comes to mind, why pipe all that oil to Texas then truck it back.

Right now they ship a [bleep] ton from the Bakken on trains to the west coast.
Why ship that oil and canadien oil to Texas and just refine it in N.D
