We run 3 retractable reels in the sunroom. Save a little on the air conditioner job right here in summer

Pulling them in tomorrow. Got party this week

My stepdaughter is putting one up, to help with the electric bill.

Me, being a tiny bit sarcastic, asked her about going solar/wind, like we all USED to do, before electricity and stuff. She was not amused.

She's always lived in the throwaway generation, and doesn't "get it" when I talk about fixing things like clothes driers and canning food at home, stuff like that. If it came to it, her generation would starve to death. Put in a garden? Noflippinway. Can your own food? Noflippinway. Butcher your own animals? Noflippinway.

You can roll a turd in peanuts, dip it in chocolate, and it still ain't no damn Baby Ruth.

Yes, it's also called a back fence. Just hung some out there a couple of hours ago.

Why would I want to use high quality energy (electrons) converted to low quality energy (heat) I have to pay for when Ma Nature will dry them easily (92F /16%RH) for free?

Yes! We’ve used a ‘circular’ Sunshine brand for many years that can easily be collapsed when not in use.

Have a roll of clothesline. It goes between two hickory trees beside the house when need be. Comes down when I gotta mow.

Wabigoon: Nope not for 60+ years have I used a "clothesline".
Do have a nifty Maytag Neptune front loader dryer now that I would highly recommend over a clothesline.

And wooden clothes drying racks. Several of them.

Yup, single stretched across rear covered patio.

Remember the old Galvi Tbar setups. Great things for us poor kids who didn't get swing sets.

Think I saw one in Sam's rental backyard pics few day back.

Was given a couple older welded posts of my wife’s grandparents and cemented them in behind our house. New vinyl-coated cables and some silver paint and they are as good as new. Wife loves them.
