I’ve got a Bergara Ridge in 7mag that I really like but it’s pretty heavy, so it rarely makes it into the field with me. Thinking about getting a carbon barrel for it with similar contour. Anyone have any thoughts about brands (I know Proof is #1 but I see a lot of other custom manufacturers out there) or any hidden cons to switching to carbon?
