So that looks like scratch lard-based crust is it? And if you use fresh peaches
how did you keep all the juices from ruining your pie, I make something similar and I do it with apples make the base crust ...roll it out really thin and flat lay a bunch of apples brown sugar dash of salt pepper whatever roll it all up and cook it like a loaf of bread

Krusteaz mix, canned peaches. I drained off some syrup, and added some flour, and cornstarch.
My wife makes pretty pies.

Preferred cherry pies in my yute. And still. Pies are a dieing thing. Used to have old ladies bring a pie to every gathering. Was a competition, the good ones were gone in a flash, guys would ask Mom which one was her's. Younger ladies are not the same, they like pies and can make them, but don't like the time involved. Wabi, Why the crust mix. Pie crust is about the most simple thing going. Getting the moisture right is my struggle, is that easier with a mix?
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

Most of the time, the pies that show up for gatherings are either: "fluffs", boughten, or frozen (some that needed to be baked after being thawed, but weren't).
