I have a few but nothing too bad. Company I worked for there was a group email with HR about an employee they were going to shît can. In the last email for some reason the HR rep tagged the employee in the contacts. 🤦‍♂️

And the one time I sent my parents a link to a news thread before opening it. It was Kingston’s black buddy…Lol

1. Not because of what it said but whom it went to.

I was picking up my son for deer season. Planned for WEEKS and I was told all was ready. Rifle, ammo, license etc.

Get there and mom says "I forgot to get his license and we lost the ammo" - day before season, store closes in 20 mins.

I text the situation to my GF. Accidently went to the ex-wife.

She refused to believe that the term "UFB" stood for "un f-ing believable" and not "you f-ng biatch"

She took it out on the kid.

Not really. But what I did learn about emails in the workplace is you want to be careful what you say because your email to who you are thinking is just one person, can easily get forwarded to numerous other people who can get in a tizzy over it.

Anymore, I don't put anything in a work email that I wouldn't put on the front page of the newspaper.

Only been burned on the job side of things once - no longer discuss anything personnel or coworker related in text, email, messaging. No problem saying what needs to be said face to face to those that need to hear it, but having them get it second hand in text is not a good look.

Wrote one to my wife and sent by accident to the guy I worked for. Talked about how he was overweight, smoked like a chimney and drank six or eight Red Bulls a day and was going to have a heart attack in his fifties. He called and said he wanted to see me in his office when he got there. Didn't realize until after the call that it went to him. He got there and all I said was "Do you want me to get my sh*t and go? It's all true." His answer was ......mumble, mumble, mumble. Nothing happened. LOL I don't put anything in writing if I care who sees it.

These "celebrities" take photos and make movies, expecting that no one will see them but the person they are intended for. To bad. Once it is a photo or written it is usually around forever.

Online, or by yourself in the dark, a thousand miles from anyone, don't say anything you would not want printed in headlines on a major newspaper, best not to think it.

How about funny auto correct...

I was hiking in MT last year. One of the people I was hiking with is a truly gorgeous, tall blonde gal. Hiked with her before and she takes off on a trail like an athlete. Anyways, I was texting, talking about an upcoming excursion, and a guy not too far away that had just been nailed by a Griz.

I had the mother of all auto correct FUBARS!

I read what my phone sent and thought "oh God No"

My fingers could not hit those keys fast enough to try to put a pin back in that grenade but it was too late LOL!

That's hilarious! Similar stuff has happened to me, just not quite as funny.

Yeah I caught hell for that one in person!

Fortunately she knows she is far from fat, but NO woman likes to be called "fatter" even on accident, and I paid for it.

Had two active text strings going with a fellow engineer plus the owner of a fab shop in one string and with the same engineer and a senior Vice President (with the same first name as my fabrication buddy) of our company (large place, 10k employees or so across the globe).

Sent a mostly inappropriate meme to what I thought was my engineering buddy and fabrication guy. My buddy the engineer comes running into my office “dude, you just sent that to a VP!!!”

No response all day.

Quitting time, my boss calls me (who works at corporate office 15 hours away). “Uh, HR called me. Something about some inappropriate pictures you sent?”

“Are you serious, or is Mr VP just f-ing with me”.

Then I hear them both bust up laughing and start asking questions about the project we were working on at the time.

Be sure not to post about your Red Flag in the living room cause that shcitt could get you Red Flagged if MT ever passed a Red Flag law.
