Too Late to help, but...
After looking at everything available, I too went with the Tippman.
S&W with it's cheap polymer upper & lower and reported 'plinker' accuracy, was never in the running.
The Tippman's all metal construction (the elite), last round bolt hold open, a functioning forward assist, it's been reliable, and has OK accuracy.
Put a scope on it to test accuracy, now has a red dot.
I'll try it later after getting some rounds through it and see if the accuracy improves.
