First happy Fourth of July to everyone .As I recall you can purchase aftermarket kits to keep the bolt open after last shot for the Ruger 1022. What is the consensus on which one is best? Also how hard are they to install?

The consensus is to get a T/CR22 if you want last shot hold open. The 10/22 kits require using their bolt and grinding down each magazine you use. They served a purpose at the time, their time has passed.

Yeah, it's much easier to get the bolt to close with a simple pull back of the charging handle, than it is to get the bolt to hold open on the last round.

I never thought I'd grow up to be a grumpy old man, but I did, and I'm killin' it.
