Been casually looking at these for a couple years. Noticed this AM the Rage and chambered in 7 SAUM at 6.1 lbs. A 7.5 lb all up 22" barrelled 7 SAUM would be pretty close to Nirvana for me and the hunting I do. They apparently are a Sako 85 clone - hopefully without the Sako case ejection issues......
Thoughts on Fierce rifles? Anyone handled a Rage?
Thanks.

The Fury, Edge, and Rage use a Sako clone action. The Rival uses a Remington clone action. I have a Fury chambered in 7mm-08 (20" steel barrel). Fit and finish is very good and the rifle is light, handles well, and is accurate. When initially wanting a 7mm-08 I looked at the CA Mesa and Tikka T3x Lite but with either of those I would probably have swapped out the stock. The Fury stock fit me (nice cheek weld) so I didn't have to tinker or spend money with after market parts/stock to get what I wanted....it was turn key so to speak (at least for me). If you call Fierce sometimes you can negotiate a bit in price and they occasionally have different barrel lengths available that aren't listed on their website. The last I knew they were still getting the Rage line up and running and weren't shipping yet. Cheers

Yep, the Fierce action is a Sako clone with the infamous 6 o'clock fixed ejector that kicks spent cases straight up....Hb

I was interested in them a year or so ago, there a few threads on them here if you do a search. Someone posted an in-depth post about the extractor issues and fierces response.
