Had an overnight 200 miles round trip to make yesterday.

Filled up truck on the way with 87 octane @4.25/9.

Filled up a while ago on the return @4.99/9.

Same place.

I guess the Service Stations didn’t hear Slo Joe telling them to lower their prices at the pump.

They heard. That was their reply.

How was the trip to fish camp?

Truck was down to a quarter tank yesterday. “Filled up” prior to hauling horses to trailhead. Pump shut off automatically @ 100 bucks, not because tank was full.

Fùck you, bidet!

My van was running on vapors so swung into Sams Club ($4.50/9) and was shocked when the pump shut off at $126.00. 😡

Chevron will get you closer, but still not full.

Actually it was exactly that.

After my buddy and I shut down and moved out of our fishing camp that we had for many years South of Lake Charles we’re looking for another. Hurricanes Laura and Delta back to back plus other previous ones,,,that was enough.

The 5th wheel is in my pole barn and looking like we’ll be moving it down Breton Sound way on a spot we just procured there.

If hurricanes threaten and they will I can just run on down I-55 to I-10/12 and pull the trailer out. Plus where I’m now at I can be in Ponchatrain to fish the Causeway pilings fairly quick via Mandeville. Then there’s Granada and Sardis reservoirs close by.

So, yes, the trip was down to “fish camp”.
