You guys had brought it up often enough, And the clues were there, certain cases while sizing or seating the bullet felt different, occasional flyers at the range,
I bought some Templiq and used the drill/socket combo,
Only takes minutes,
All the brass that I annealed, positively has a much more consistent feel,
Then by luck, or by design, shot some fantastic groups this weekend, out to 600 yards…
Thanks for the education.

I use the drill/socket/torch method too. It doesn’t take long to develop a feel for it. Really adds to the brass life. When I started reloading for 300 win mag the common wisdom seemed to be discard the brass after 3 Reloadings. With annealing and head spacing off the shoulder and not the band I’ve loaded some 12x.

I caught religion after I started loading for the 233WSSM. Bought some Tempilaq and the annealing ring from Todd Kindler at the Woodchuck Den, and went after it (for the record, those little brass ingots that are 223WSSM cases take a “little more” time than a normal case). ES went WAY down.
