In the right knee. Gel-One is what it’s called, made from chicken combs. Right now, the only problem I’m having is trying to walk without favoring (limping) my right leg. I was expecting it to be really painful because of everything I’d heard, but I’m glad to report that it wasn’t “PAINFUL” at all. More of an uncomfortable anticipation of something painful about to happen and the weird feeling of pressure of the gel being injected… now I wish I’d have gotten the same in my hips….October is probably gonna be the target month for the surgery, which will be a piece of plastic on the bottom bone and kneecap, with the top being some type of metal…the really good news is that he said something like that pedal kayak I’ve been eyeballin, would make for some really good physical therapy.

If you go out in the yard and start pecking, and have an urge to crow at daylight tomorrow, you'll know it's workin'.... Glad it seems to be helping!

Good luck with it, similar stuff, different name, worked good for me for 6 months or so, and then worked OK for another 3 or so. Then my insurance determined the stuff was "experimental" and would no longer cover it.
Eventually, after a few years and an occasional cortisone shot, and many "Advil", it was bone on bone and time for a replacement.

I have been getting those injections for two years now.really helps. The injection has to be precisely in the right spot. A good knee brace also adds to it. I rode my mule 9 miles today.. This is the one I use recommended by my doctor. https://www.amazon.com/Vital-Salveo-Compression-Recovery-S-Support-Protects/dp/B00IIYF34I

Sure glad to hear of the relief. Had several through the years and helped for a long time. Eventually it was TKR on both. Pedal kayak will be great PT.

Google Zillreta Great initial results and time release afterward. Developed for knees but worked wonders on my hip. We’re all wired different. Only you know what’s best for you. Good Luck

Good luck to you! I hear that it usually helps a great deal…..but, is pretty temporary! But any relief from the constant pain is a real good thing! Good luck! memtb

Do they do them for the hips? My doc said yes, but I have to get VA approval first so I called the VA this morning for another approval form… since I’m so rural, they use the local docs for specialized medicine… today is day two and my right knee is about 3/4 the size of my untreated left… yesterday the doc said both knees were swollen, but I had no idea, because this has been an ongoing chronic condition…slept through the night without pain and as soon as I swung my legs over the side of the bed, I knew something dramatic had happened overnight… lots of changes are taking place that I didn’t anticipate… mood/crankyness has undergone a dramatic change for the better… my legs feel so much better I’m contemplating a trip down to my old diggins in Duncan creek and even some exploratory crevicing up on the Noth Fork of the American

I got the electro-destruction of the genicular done last week Got both knees done. Still stiff, will loosen up in a few more days. I’m a little beyond the squirty chiggin stuff. I have this done about every 6 months. Tap all three nerves, fry em with some electricity Kind of like grabbing an electric fence and holding for 30 seconds straight and then…thry do the other one 💀💀💀 Fentanyl and versed is nice. Medicare is awesome

Fentanyl and versed is nice. Medicare is awesome Not my cup of tea…fix it or cut it off…Painkillers didn’t work for the herniated disc in my neck so I told the doctor the same thing…fix it or cut it off…that pain was intense… worse than getting 30% of my body cooked with boiling water.
