I think this was a California police contract over run, at least that is what the dealer said. Again, by memory it was made 1991 or so (not sure)? D code should be 2009, but I bought it 10 years or so earlier. More recent models have 2 front studs, this early model only has one front stud. I replaced the factory trigger with a Jewell set to a few ounces, and fired a box. So this rifle is close to new. I imagine this has been in the safe unfired for 20+ years. It will come with Leupold base. The barrel is 20 inches. Price 1250.00 plus shipping, probably 40 bucks, or pick up in central PA. Weaver 6-20 plex/dot is 250 more if you need it. Payment by paypal FF or USPS MO, naturally cash FTF. Need more pictures, send a PM

Barrel code of XO translates to Dec 1994. But I know enough about Remington's to get myself in trouble. Nice rifle!
Then STFU. The rest of your statement is superflous bullshit with no real bearing on this discussion other than to massage your own ego. Suckin' on my titties like you wanted me.

Appears to be a 700VS. I had a few of them. The Police model is a different stock.

They made 20” vs in about 1995-97. I owned three of them. The first year had a polished jeweled bolt and a nice matte finish the second two were a rougher matte finish and a blued jeweled bolt. All shot great

I did not measure the twist with a cleaning rod yet, but my guess would be 1/9. That was the standard police twist, and this was for california highway police special order according to the dealer 25 years ago. Again Ill measure it when I get home.

It seems to be a 1-11 on my rod. I did it a few times and I get the same thing. If it was 1-9 or 1-12, it would be 1-12 I guess.

I've had quite a few Remington 700's in 223. I have never seen one with anything but a 1-12 twist rate that was made before the early 2000's. After then, they changed to a 1-9. An example would be the Model 7 Predator model. They were made between 2008 and 2015, if I'm correct. I have one of the first ones in 223, and it is 1-12 ROT. I also had one of the last ones made, and it is 1-9. I also have a 700 XCR Tactical and a Model 7 in 223, both are which 1-9 and made after 2012.
This is just my observation, and not meant to be the gospel truth.
