I'm looking for a nice leather rifle strap for my customized mauser. All I see at the "big" stores and catalogs are straps that have some gun manufacturers name on it or some cheesy buck on them.
What do you guys like? I'd like something wide and padded with non-slip suede or similar on it. Who makes nice straps?
Thanks! Chris

All my Slings are Bianchi #62 or #64. Great quality slings but I dont think Bianchi makes leather slings (or any type of sling) anymore. If they still do, let us know who sells them.

i have the latigo sling and like it..... I second the latigo idea. I have one. It's really the name of the game nowadays. Best of both worlds, in that it can be both a carry and a shooting sling at the same time.

Thanks for all the replies, guys but what I'm really looking for isn't a sling, but just a nice wide carry strap. I don't do any off-hand shooting and would just like a really nice looking, comfortable strap.
Thanks again! Chris

I have both the Montana Sling and Murray Quickset. Both work great and are unadorned.

I have a Boyt's tapered leather sling #SL10W. Very comfortable as a carry sling. No staples on the keepers, sewn.
