Home Forums Hunting & Shooting Rimfires got kinda lucky on a windy day

Went to the rifle range and played with the Anschutz at the bench a bit. In the mid price range ammo it likes RWS Rifle Match and especially the SK Rifle Match ammo. I'm not overly good at compensating for the wind so try and pick the quiet times. Another guy had some wind flags set up so I used them as best I could.

The SK RM did this at 50yards (3/4MOA):




Same ammo did this at 100yards (55 SOA but has done better):




But the RWS RM did this at 100yards (38 SOA):



The 3 shot cluster is 10 SOA!!!

Gotta be happy with that I reckon.
