Assuming powder a primers will be back in stock

The slowest powder I have is H4350. I've heard good things about RL 17.

What are you guys using.

Thanks,
GB

H4350, IMR4350 and IMR4451 all work great with 140 grain bullets.

Watch Johnny’s Reloading Bench on YouTube. He has extensive 6.5 Creedmoor information on several videos!

Any of these powders should be great for the 6.5 Creedmoor!

One very appealing aspect of the 6.5 CM is that so many powders work well in it!

Reloader 16 (forgot this one, yes, it is excellent)

H-4350
IMR-4350
IMR-4451
Staball6.5

Varget with 120 grain bullets

I fiddled around with a LOT of combo's and have reverted to
the original Hornady loads, H-4350 for 140 gr. bullets and
Varget for 120's I'm happy

There you go. A great list of powders that work right there^^ I generally just use H4350. Kind of a stand by/"go to" powder for the Creed. I have plenty of it now, but at one time it was damn hard to find..

Shooters World SW4350 works well too. It’s a little bit slower than Hodgdon H4350 but the SW is very consistent

As someone said above, Johnny's Reloading Bench on YouTube has lots of information on loading the Creedmoor. I have had very good results with H4350 and RL-16. I have also used N-550 and AA2700. I shoot 140 grain bullets almost exclusively and try for 2,700 fps. In my Tikka T-3x with 24.4" barrel, I use 41.5 grains of H4350 and 41 grains of RL-16. 40 grains of N-550 does the same job, same charge with AA-2700. I haven't tried the "magic" RL-26 yet in the Creedmoor.

In factory ammo, the Nosler load with the 140 grain Ballistic Tip at 2,650 is very accurate in my experience. I get the listed velocity in my rifle and have shot that ammo out to 450 yards.

The one powder I tried and didn't like is STAball 6.5. Apparently others feel the same way, because I keep getting email alerts from Powder Valley saying it's in stock. I was hoping to get the high velocities listed in the Hodgdon loading manual. However, pressure rose too quickly and I ended up using 43 grains for about 2,700 fps. Accuracy wasn't as good as with RL-16 and H4350.

I use R17 in my 260 because I couldn’t get any H4350, and I’m staying with the R17. My brother’s Creedmoor is loaded up with H4350. It’s a Bergara and shoots 120 gr Nosler BTs extremely well. My neighbor wanted to load for his Savage 6.5 CM using my gear, and he had BL-C(2) and 129 gr Hornady Interlocks, and we found a great load, though it’s surely slower than what we could have done with R17 or 4350 (no chrono).

603 - you still running that custom T3? What weight bullets are you using currently?

It seems you might have been running 100 BTs in the past?
