I have always been a fan of the Colt SAA. I finally broke down and bought not one, but two 22 Peacemakers. I bought one a couple months ago and it shot so well I decided to sell my Beretta target 22. I have had them both out to shoot gophers and they do hit what you are aiming at. A guy at the Cody gun show this past weekend, had 17 of them, I bought one of the 4 1/4 inch with a 22 magnum cylinder with it. I already had the 6 inch model and it has the 22 magnum cylinder as well. They do shoot minute of gopher...

Nice. I’ve always thought that the Colt SAA was one of the best if not the best looking revolver ever made and pure Americana.

Shrap,
what round are you using that splatters them so well out of a revolver?

Great looking revolvers. Thanks for posting.

My most accurate .22 was a browning buckmark with a bull barrel. i think it was a camper. The most accurate pistol I ever shot. i could rival rifles at 30 yards with that thing. Im sorry i got rid of it because of a divorce. wish i never have.

Arizona Custom grips are tough, fit well and good looking made from what they call Magna Tusk. Heavy and dense these are my go to for fake Ivory.

Damn ! Just when I thought I was through buying guns for awhile. LOL I just told my wife today that gun collecting keeps me and my end of the budget in the poor house… I was only semi joking but in an absolute worse case scenario they can always be sold for plus or minus what you have in to them. I bought a SAKO yesterday and have a Montana Rifle Company Extreme X3 on the way. I need a Colt SAA. Personally I like the rubber stocks with the case hardened frame but would like one chambered in 44-40.

I need a Colt SAA. Personally I like the rubber stocks with the case hardened frame but would like one chambered in 44-40. Yeah, those are classic in appearance. It's how they looked when Colt first started selling them to the general public, after their initial run of them for the US Military with plain wood stocks. Of course, back then, they were real hard rubber (gutta percha), not modern plastic like today. But they look about the same. As you suggest, done right, gun collecting is (at worst) like taking money out of your left pocket and putting it into your right, only in the meantime, you get to own and shoot cool guns. But it's not like spending money on a vacation, or partying, or even a new computer or sound system.
