I've never been able to understand hoarding junk. There's a house in the hills near us with stacks of old hot tubs, junk cars, and old appliances. It's a real eyesore. What could anyone possibly do with dozens of old hot tubs? Anyway, there was a range fire there this weekend. It only burned 10 acres and I'm suspicious that it might have been set to eliminate hot tubs. At least the fire crews were able to get it out before it spread. The hills are still green enough to slow it down. If this had happened a month later, it could have become a disaster.

The region I used to build houses in [coastal] you couldn't move 10 miles north of the coast because you'd be building a house among ones like the one in the picture. One guy collected old rope, big rope from ships, it laid out in the weather so long it had 30 foot trees growing up through the coils. Old above ground swimming pools were another favorite of his.
One in six people have mental problems.
Fort Walton Beach area had HORDES of houses that NEVER cut their lawn, I've seen many places that you wouldn't know there was a house there except during the winter months.

It starts when a Democrat is elected President; then it continues when a Republican is elected in anticipation of another Democrat being elected in the future.

A while back I read about a guy who saved old newspapers. He'd go out and collect them. His living room was stacked so high that he had tunnels that he had to crawl through to move from room to room. Then he disappeared. He was in a tunnel when it collapsed and killed him. Can you imagine having to clean that up?

Clicked on this thinking it was Going to be about panic hoarding…
Bottom line,
Ppl are selfish.
They don’t need it, just don’t want others to have it.
Example-
The great TP shortage…..
Folks weee buying up YEARS worth of chit tickets.

The story of Langley and his brother, Homer, is fascinating. The small book, Ghosty Men, by Franz Lidz, is an excellent account of their story. I highly recommend it.
