Look guys....some here obviously do not read through the threads before commenting or have very poor reading comprehension. Please understand that I would really like to see a Trump/DeSantis ticket in other circumstances, HOWEVER as has been stated God only knows how many times here on the fire...WHILE IT IS LEGAL FOR A PRESIDENT AND VICE-PRESIDENT TO BE FROM THE SAME STATE, THERE IS A RULE WITHIN THE ELECTORIAL COLLEGE THAT FORBIDS THAT STATE'S ELECTORIAL VOTES TO COUNT. Florida, the home state of both Trump and DeSantis, has too many electorial votes to be discarded if this ticket should run together. It would be political suicide for them to run together. Same if it were Trump/Bondi, Trump/Rubio, Cruz/Dan Patrick, Cruz/Rick Perry, etc., etc. Again, they must be from DIFFERENT states or they will loose their state's electorial votes. That is the rule for all presidential candidates including such potential nightmare teams as Pelosi/Newsome, Pelosi/ Harris, Maxine Waters/Harris, Coumo/Schumer, etc., etc.
Now that is out of the way, I hope, just kinda thinking out loud here: what about a Cruz/DeSantis ticket? Having said that, like has been mentioned before Cruz would also make an excellent Supreme Court Justice, IMO. I would also welcome Pompaeo in the administration somewhere as well, another good man.

If Trump runs in 2024 DeSantis will wait 4 years. I'd vote for Trump, of course, if he got the nomination. But, deep down I think he's done enough. Woke people up. He's gonna run. Yup. Trump will announce by April.

Honestly I don't care as much as I used to about the Fed Pres, with all the uncertainty of who won lately. Focus on electing "literally Hitler" to your local office instead. Just check their policies, sources of funding, physical proximal history etc... and make sure they are staunch supporters of the 10th.

You guys are not very realistic.
DeSantis is a good governor, but .....
1. He is a career politician
2. He is in a very friendly environment. The entire state government is friendly (with the exception of the Ag Sec) to him.
Contrast that with Trump who had the entire Federal Government after him and his family (and still is). Plus many other governments in this world. What Trump and family went through, and still is, would drive a mortal man to suicide. And yet he still racked-up many successes.
DeSantis has not proven he has "the chops" Trump does. Not even close. And no, bunch of LBQxxxx's at Disney is hardly the acid test.
And the VP names brought up here are nothing by light weight politicians. Get real.
If it isn't Trump in charge, we are all finished. Nobody else can to into that Lions Den and stand a chance. Someone with a clue. One doesn't need to attend Harvard to pursue a legal career, it is a resume enhancer for higher political office.

VP would likely be female or minority from a swing or pinkish state. VP's job in the race it to help deliver a state that is on the fence for your side - I'd think.
