Let's start here: mag box spring. Order a new one and try it. I had that issue, new mag box spring, feeds well ever since. If I recall correctly, SamO had the same issue once upon a time. New mag box spring fixed it. I've heard of it a couple other times, mostly with the 84L. I believe you are correct. To my knowledge, the 84M overtook the 84L; most likely due to the aforesaid issue. There were many problems with the 84L from what I read many years ago: including white papers. The difference AFAIK between an 84M and 84L is their length (intended cartridge class) - they are not different/revisions or progressions of one action with improvements. * I can test the waters, can I not? https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/12723289/84l-vs-84mYour link proves my point. The M didn't "overtake" the L due to any reason. They're different actions whose difference is length (again for intended cartridge class).

Fhuqking LAUGHING!................ I've only the one Montana - a short/M in 7-08 I got from Whittakers because I couldn't find the WSM - mostly because of how much you doted on yours. I don't see me ever going back to a long action again - not due to bias or complaint, just that the 708 is a 1:1 round peg in a round hole for me and perfect in all respects. No need desire to have a 30-06 or 270 just to have one. It would never get used.

Tough to beat a S/A Montucky, though a 7" RPM Seex Kreed would be sweet in OEM guise. Hint................

If anyone has one of these 84L's that don't feed, I'd happily take it off your hands. Seconds. Though I’ve a pair of 6 creeds that won’t be leaving anytime soon.
Yup.

As is typical, BigStick intercepts and destroys another good thread.

As is typical, BigStick intercepts and destroys another good thread. Huh? I asked a question. I got a couple smarta$$ responses that I somewhat deserved because I assumed people would know I was talking about Kimber Montanas. Got a lead or 2 and then Stick comes in and completely answers my question. Helps me out.

Fhuqking LAUGHING!................ Oh my bad dummy, my expectations of droppin over a grand on a rifle and droppin a new follower and spring in it to get it to feed correctly, fuuck those are very high expectations!! Haha Fuucking laughing……………………………..

"Getting" to read about rifles,is very "rewarding" for those farrrrr less fortunate...you "lucky" kchunt. Hint. Congratulations?!?
Actual use, with wares that exist,do introduce variables that Brokedicks cain't begin to fathom. Springs tend to live fine,in a Safe,as do followers. Introduce weather to either/both and things compound. Followers falter first, then springs go. Now even you "know". Hint.

Sorry, I shouldn’t expect wares to work as advertised. The kelpbed and Crockett crew never disappoints!!
