I'm calling on the wisdom of the 'fire.

How much TV, and internet surfing will the 50 MG's allow?

That's quite a bit, Richard.

I doubt you'd use that much data unless streaming movies, etc. quite a bit.

Just using the internet, browsing and stuff, even watching videos while doing so, I doubt you'd use half that.

Are you calling “MG”s megabytes down?

If so, that’s a lot. In my little Indian village (according to Trav) we have 18 down and it’s plenty for our needs. Streaming, phone use, etc.

Thanks to you both kind folks, I'll need to look it up again, I think I can work up in both price, and GB'S.

Or is it gigabytes as inferred in your title?

Streaming movies will use roughly 1gb per hour. Surfing uses far less

Verizon's plans run from 35, to 55$. The 5 GB's don't cut the mustard.

That’s half or more of what we pay.

Get the 20GB plan.

For the longest time we had 1 (one!!) GB down. Able to stream a movie, but some buffering. How big is the farm report that 5GB don’t get there?

Thanks Mike, it would have been simpler if my Grandfolks would have built place in the States, but, We've learned a lot about the Good old USA while being out of the Country.

I have 100 GB on mine, I don't use them all most of the time, but when I'm working on a job with no wifi they come in handy, and I can watch movies or whatever on my laptop.

Wabi,

I generally use my phones internet as wifi for my laptop computer. 15 GB per month ($40) usually gets me by pretty well, but I don't watch a ton of video. If I do wanna watch more video stuff, I can buy an extra 3GB for $20 anytime. Occasionally do so.

If I had an affordable plan that gave me 50GB, I doubt I'd use it all.

I'm not responding to this thread after my response to your satellite dish aiming thread went ignored.
