I wonder if these fees violate Douglas Bruce’s Taxpayer's Bill of Rights (TABOR) which "restricts revenues for all levels of government (state, local and schools). Under TABOR, state and local governments cannot raise tax rates without voter approval and cannot spend revenues collected under existing tax rates if revenues grow faster than the rate of inflation and population growth without voter approval." ?

It would, but under the voter approved limits for new fees, each one of these new taxes goes into an Enterprise fund that doesn't exceed the limit in the initiative. In other words - Polis created many little slush funds to funnel the taxes into, totaling nearly $1 Billion over the next 10 years including the new gasoline "fees"..

It is because it is filed as a fee, not a tax. So TABOR does not apply. If you read the back of our vehicle registration paper there are about 20 fees. Except for newer vehicles , owner ship tax is a very small part of the cost

I lived there 55 years...it is nothing like it once was. Aspen and Vail-Beaver Creek already have a constant flow of illegals. Been that way for decades.

It’s up to the citizens to rid themselves of democrat politicians . Voting doesn’t help in that the politicians control the votes so there’s extra work to do.
