Just got back at 1 AM EST today from a week hunting on the Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland. I want any of the Newfies who hang out here to know that I am greatly impressed. The guides I knew were the real deal and they are the best advertisements anyone could look for. Great humor, intelligent and fine companions. Newfoundland itself is breathtaking and I have been invited back. I am sure as hell gonna go as soon as I can save up enough dust to do it again. Yup. I love Newfoundland and like the folks.

Canadians are great people from one end of the country to the other. Just spent 5 days on PEI last week, very warm people that are proud of where they live and like to share it with others.

Dan, I did NOT have a good time, I had a GREAT time!  I said it is hard to believe a guy can have so much fun in a week and not be breaking any laws. I went down to the French Coast and visited Conch. That place is breathtaking. The long Range Mountains going up the coast road are purely stunning. Still tryin' to figger out how Conch is on the French Coast,yet everybody I met seemed to have very Irish names and a definite brogue in the Newfie dialect. Being Screeched In was hysterical. I hope that someday I can give some hospitality to a (very) lost Newfie in my turf. Jim

Nope. Ate a ton of moosemeat though!! A fair amount of fresh caught fish from Conch too.

I got Screeched. Ours included a moose rather than a codfish. Some interesting table fare and Screech Rum(brought a pint home with me). Got a certificate...GRINNING BIG
