Here's some worthless trivia for you.....when George Killians Irish Red came out in the 1980's, the original bottles were 11 ounces, not 12.
Very shortly thereafter, the bottle shape was changed and capacity was increased to 12 ounces. Kinda like an Ackley Improved beer.

I still have a full unopened 11 ounce bottle around here somewhere.

Somehow I doubt you've been to a beer hall in Munich.

Do beers from those halls come with stick on fake mustaches?

Sad thing is Stella is now dead to me. The American(buyout) version tastes like chit, I quite buying it.

Roundabouts.... I call them FDTs - French Death Traps.

Sure, they speed up traffic- until the glass needs cleaning up. I hate them Mofo's !

I can't count the times I've nearly been creamed by some idiot (usually a woman) blasting through with her cell phone in her ear, often in excess of listed speed.

I sorta consider the Mofos a stop sign.....

So castigate me. smile

I liked Dos Equis, back when I was doing alcohol.

This. Same bottle as Europe and just put a US/English label on it.

Saves the expense of setting up a whole new bottling facility for 12 Oz bottles, I would imagine.

Regards

ABInBev has spent a ton of money to make Stella in the US now - next to Budweiser. Bottling lines at their scale are pretty agnostic between 12/11.2 oz

Well Stone definitely messed up their plans and got a nice payday for it - Pay up - 56m

Be interesting to see if Molson ever does and now that Stone is owned by Sapporo - how much Sapporo wants to push it.
