Dee, the inventor of the Bass flipping technique passed away last knight. He has been suffering with lung cancer for a long time. Any bass angler that flippes or pitches owes it to Dee and he will be greatly missed especially on the California delta where he developed this style of fishing.

RIP Mr. Thomas. I am a bass guy and pitching a bait of some sort into thick cover and wrestling a good one out is my favorite way to fish. I'm from Missouri and grew up watching Denny Brauer and Guido Hibdon pitch jigs in BASS tournaments. Gotta say that influenced me as a young bass fisherman.
