I've got an AR-10 and tried a load with Varget and the rifle didn't like it. I have AR Comp, CFE 223, TAC, IMR & Hodgdon 4894, and IMR 4320. Any suggestions for a load will be appreciated.

If it won't shoot the 168 over a medium dose of good ole IMR 4064 you have troubles.

Good question Dave. My rifle really likes this load:

Work up, of course. I probably wouldn't exceed 42gr's. After that I was getting loose primers.

WTF? ....BS artist finally shows a group that's only 3 shots! Oh, the horrors....everybody knows that YOU only shoot 10 shot groups to 'prove' accuracy.....

To the OP, like 100gr said, IMR 4064 should be your friend with the 168's, as will IMR 3031.

Thanks to all for the input. I do have a partial can of IMR4064 & IMR 3031. All of my brass is (fed) LC. Looks like IMR 4895 will get the next test since I have several pounds of it.
Thanks again, Dave

He asked for AR Comp loads with a certain bullet, so that is what I posted. 3 shot groups or otherwise. Most know how I feel about them. That one in particular is why I don't like showing 3 shot groups. They are generally 1 hole with a good load. What I can tell the op is my rifle loves that powder and the bullet (Hornady vs. Sierra). If he wants to try something else (different powder) that is cool too. The guys that don't post actual results and probably don't even have an AR 10, don't really add much to a thread like this.. Good luck to the op. The AR10/AR308 is a fun weapon to have around..

That High Pitched Nasal Whine, espousing all of them very WELL founded Insecurities,is nothing shy of MAGNIFICENT...in it's Kchuntly Grandeur. Hint.

It's never been difficult to tell, who shoots and who don't. You Melting Snowflakes are a fhuqking HOOT,with your Drooling Dumbfhuqktitude! Pardon wares that exist. Hint.

You gals should entertain the notion,of having a Crying Kchunt Off,to see who "gets" to wear The Tiara. Hint.

Grab as much slack on the rope,as your "means","abilities" and "comprehension" dares. HINT.

Just saying.

BS artist, I'll make you the same offer I offered a dude on another forum that claimed he had NEVER missed a 2 liter soda bottle at 1000 yards with a 204 Ruger, and shot in all conditions, 20 mph wind, rain, etc. and had done it hundreds of time.....bring your bad self to Bangsteel and show us all just how great you are...or Camp Butner and shoot 1000 yard F Class. You should dominate either one, probably be the National champion if you're as great as you think you are. I'll pay your entry fee and give you $200.00 to help with travel expenses

I graciously piled slack rope, upon a Silver Platter and the BEST The Paper Hat Brigade could "do",was talk about someone else's rifle and bullets. Not that such things are "surprising",given their "means","abilities" and "comprehension". Hint.

Though in fairness, the punctuation is a nice touch and they can almost do same for themselves. ALMOST. Hint

If you’re referring to my avatar pictures, then yeah, I guess I stole it..right off if the mantle. "Hint"... 4th great grandfather, Major J. B. Mcgee, 34th N.C. Infantry. My uncle still has the uniform, which if you will notice, still has the rank intact, so not surrendered.

Sorry to the OP for this turning into a passing match.
