Been thinking about a 22 pistol with a red dot for trapped pig dispatch duty
Went to LGS today and found a Ruger Mark III 22/45 with a threaded barrel. Used but not abused. $350. And they had CCI mini mags for $10/100 to boot so I picked up 500
Ordered a MaddMacs base and will mount a spare Burris Fastfire
I even figured out how to disassemble and reassemble the thing
All on a whim starting at 5p.

Sounds like a good impulse to me.

I thought most gun purchases were on impulse. They are with me.

Good instincts. All you need now is a can.

Good instincts. All you need now is a can. I know. My mind has been turning about that. To top it off I’ve got a 10-22T with a 16” barrel that could easily be threaded for a can too..

Nice snag! You can never have too many .22's.

Pistol runs like a sewing machine.
Put 100 rounds of mini mags down range at the farm this morning to get the iron sights dialed in.
Nary a hiccup.
Shot better than any other handgun I have at the 35 yard gong.
Now just waiting on the base plate for the fastfire to come in…
