In texas you can use force, including deadly force, to protect your property at night.

How is this any different than that show that used to lure deviates to a house, over the internet, with the promise of underage sex.

All these two were doing is helping a thief/s do what thieves do. Eventually, they and all their neighbors would be able to leave property outside without fear of being robbed.

I hate a thief almost as much as I hate lawyers and furniture salesmen.

Only one of the thieves went to the hospital.

It would hane been a lot more fun and just as effective with 100 feet of thin wire and a weed whacker electric fence charger. Just flip a switch from inside the house.

If it was my neighbors doing that, I'd offhand mention if someone
did that, they could face legal problems.

Then I'd mind my business, having made sure they knew the law.


And sit back to enjoy the show I'd never admit having seen.

Vigilante justice usually turns bad, but many areas are getting to
where it's going to be the only law.

The TV show COPS shows people buying pot then a LE officer blindsides him hard like a fullback.

Why no charges?

Stealing is a much worse than buying a dime bag of pot.

Amazing what people will video themselves doing and then post on line.

Betting none of the thiefs would have ever reported it.

No kidding!….that pathetic justification for thieves is modern day “policing” in a nutshell. When the perpetrator gets their ass kicked and gets caught red handed the police initially through their PIO (or other minority that is authorized to speak to the press) go after the good guy. While I definitely applaud the proactive efforts of the 2 good guys I think they could have approached this situation differently and still accomplish everything except the going to jail part. Unfortunately the cops missed yet another possible opportunity to display the potential outcome of stealing but instead of using that as a deterrent to bad guys they’ll kiss their ass and open the good guys up to not only criminal charges but civil charges as well.

Everything is upside down and backwards in the current political and social climate, a total and complete clown show. The one unfortunate consistency throughout these criminal “rampages” or “sprees” is the misplaced justice in all of it. We’re now at a point in this clown show where the cops refer to the criminal as a victim and look for ways in which they can minimize the crime and the actions of the criminal choosing instead to make criminals out of the good guys. This doesn’t bode well for cops or the future of the country.

I am with you on this.
What gives anyone the right to go on someone else's property and take what is not theirs.

Our Parents and Grandparents didn't even have to lock their doors when they left for the day
People had respect for other people and they stuff.
