...to start planning this years Confabulation of Respected Savage Idolizers, otherwise known the world over as "The Rendezvous". The dates have been set: August 19,20,21 in the Year of Our Lord, 2022. Same venue in Noxen, Pennsylfarmia as before.

Y'all know the drill - show up with your blankie and teddy bear, whatever Savages you wish to share, and your appetite, and be prepared to participate in what has become one of the best darned weekends of gunning debauchery, er, camaraderie to be found anywhere in these United States. Those of you who have attended in the past will agree, please, your checks will go out in tomorrow's mail.

One change from last year: Joe Martin has agreed to wear clothes this time. Whew.

I guess I should tell the rest of the story. When I invited Roy to stay with us, the kids said, "Dad, you've got to stop inviting strangers off the internet to sleep in our House. They might be ax murderers". I said to them, "Oh, come on, you saw Mom's Valentines day present. She is the ax murder!" Just look at that smile.

Feel lucky to have made it out alive.

Still, no more Joe cruising around the house naked for me, I'm out.

Ah, c'mon fellas. Joe ain't that dangerous when he's dressed. (Although come to think of it I've never seen him with long pants and socks except in the depths of deer season. I don't think he actually owns a pair of jeans. Or a single bitted axe for that matter.) His wife on the other hand is very formidable, but in a sweet kind of way!

Y'all see the kind of stuff y'all miss by not coming to a Rendezvous? The only reason Prince Philip won't be here again this year is, well, he's dead.

So you are going to capitulate to the govt and let them ruin your fun for the rest of your life?

If that is the case, they win, you lose....

Ok, Mr. Wrong Way Corrigan. Monongahela is in SW corner of PA, the exact opposite direction we go to Noxen. grin

Greyhound Bus? Train? (Actually a cross-country train trip is pretty appealing.) You know how handy an 1899 Takedown would be for traveling on those conveyances, so no excuses.

Or, just stand out at the on-ramp with a gun slung over your shoulder and your thumb out. Should get a lot of attention....
