Anybody use one, what do you think of them?

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

I don't have any experience with them. It looks like the first generation of Forge scopes were made in S Korea, then manufacturing was moved to China. I don't buy Chinese scopes. There are better non-Chinese options for the same money. https://riflescope-review.com/where-are-bushnell-scopes-made-or-manufactured/

They are well regarded by some, slammed by others. Only Bushnell I own is the Banner, sits on a 22LR, so no word on the Forge.

P.S. We all have a Red Line to respect. I can buy a Chicom Scope, but not Chicom handtools. They have to be PROTO, Stahlwille, Hazet, Taiwanese, and so on. Wish I could do the same with every commodity out there, but my PC disagrees.

Good evening Kaleb. I hope all is well with you and yours. I provided him some information on country of origin because a lot of people prefer not to support communist, intellectual property stealing, biological weapon making, China when it's easily avoidable. It's easily avoidable with scopes. I appreciate the opportunity to spell out the obvious.

I've got several low end Bushnell Primes, a 1-4x made in South Korea, a 3-9x40 made in SK, and 3-9x40 with an illuminated dot made in China, and a 3.5-10x 36mm Adjustable Objective on a .22. None of these cost over $200. All have worked well. All have held zero. And I have 3 of them on some heavy kickers - 12g slug guns and a muzzle loader. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a higher end Bushnell.

Could you explain to Kaleb why you provided this information when it wasn't what the OP was looking for?

Good answer.

Paul,

Other than scopes, what else? Just wondering.

Lets see. One of these posts gives the Original Poster some information about the scope he's interested in, and one doesn't.

No.

BTW, that was post number 17,000 (even). Pretty cool.

Haven't looked at them or used one but did have a Nitro.

Weight was a good bit heavier than other manufacturers scopes of comparable power.

I do like Bushnells Exo barrier which used to be Rainguard coating. Handy for no fogging and let's water bead up/run off.
