Russia attacks Odesa Port one day after signing grain deal.

Putin’s word is good with an agreement just like his word was with the Russian Bonds Defaults. There are a couple of things to consider. 1-If Russia did attack a position in Odessa it may not be a violation of the agreement and may have been in response to something Ukraine did that violated the agreement. Or 2- It may be a false flag attack staged by Ukraine. The Syrian government was accused of gassing a rebel village in Syria when in all likelihood it was staged by the ISIS rebels to get sympathy from the international community. I’m sure that covers it all. It is a war of proxy and PR. I agree Ukraine is proxy for NATO, but what is PR? Public Relations? Ukraine is not in NATO.Yet. Yes sir I understand Ukraine is not a NATO member.I said Ukraine is a proxy for NATO. If I voted for you with your permission I would be your proxy. I wouldn't be you. I believe Ukraine was stupid enough (or evil enough) to be doing NATOs dirty work.

Why so little? That is just a token, but I'm glad we're slowing down on sending stuff over there for the Ukrainians to steal and for the Russians to destroy. Houston_2, Do you see this war eventually involving NATO troops directly fighting Russian troops? Do you think China will continue to support Russia?

My own beliefs are that the conflict will be a protracted one and I hope that NATO doesn’t get boots on the ground type directly involved. I’m far happier seeing NATO growing with new members and the same for the EU. China will always wisely take whatever route(s) suits them best with alliances being only short term at best and for the need. They have some very serious social and financial problems to deal with at the moment. Jmo, Hastings.
