I purchased a new 4 inch Kimber pro carry two tone a while back. Alloy frame, and blue steel slide.
I really wanted a 38 Super, but the pistol was only available in 9mm. So I sent the slide to Fusion and had them fit a 38 Super barrel to it. It runs flawlessly with ball ammo, shoots to the sights, and is more accurate than am I.

Good deal. Supers are FUN. I've been considering doing the same with my new Ronin Commander 9mm, but I'm still thinking it thru. I've already got a Range Officer with a Barsto Super barrel, and a Colt factory Super, too.
You can roll a turd in peanuts, dip it in chocolate, and it still ain't no damn Baby Ruth.

Super is a great long range round. Low recoil and trajectory is very flat. I recently scored on a steel plate at 250 yards... OMG I love my Super; just too much fun.

I own a 38 Super, Metro Arms, made exclusively for Davidson’s. I load it hot, not like a 9mm. Glad I’m a handloader with plenty of powder and primers.
