What’s with the 3’ centers and how does that even work with rock that heavy? I’ve hung a lot of 5/8” on ceilings but they could kiss my azz with 3/4”. It’s got to be hard on the hoist…? not using 3/4, using 1/2, I'm going to fur it out using 1/4s running crossways. With 1/2 rock and 3' centers...does it end up flat enough to not see the joists? Never tried that. I've hung enough 12'x4'x5/8" solo on lids to know it's not a fun day, even with a lift.

Copy that, I misinterpreted and thought you were furring it with 1/4" material, not with 1x4"s.
