Wife and I took the labs to the creek Sunday and came across this buck. Youngest son had been to the same part of the creek Friday night to seine bait for fishing and it wasn’t there. There was a juvenile eagle eating on it when we pulled up. My guess is Blue Tongue but who knows.

Well, that sucks. Hopefully being near the creek is more coincidence than the logical conclusion.
The deer have got enough working against them, they sure don't need EHD in the mix.

We sure don’t need an outbreak of EHD this year! Just now got over the last episode.

We've found two so far this summer. One in a pond. One within 30-40 yards of a pond..............

RC. We got a little over an inch here. The rain is staying mostly above I-70 and below I-44. We are DRY.

Same here SE of KC.

Tried mowing for the first time in about 6 weeks. Got a little over halfway and now a light rain. Maybe get back after it later or tomorrow.

It’s my week to mow the gun club. My guess is it will get a high speed pass and weed eat.
