Finally bit, took class, applied. Now wait. 152.50 in Colorado 5 years. Ill be nearly 80 when it runs out.
Hope I never need it for any more than that. 22 in my pocket while hunting.

The one question I shoukd have posed in class is about my mild temper, and analytical mind.

They also offered lawyer insurance.

Doubt you’ll renew? Why should a 79y/o relinquish his right to self defense. Most likely too old to run or fight by that age. Anyway, lots of time to think about it by then.

I know.
We’re fortunate to not have to say “mother, may I” here.

Nothing wrong with a 11 round 40 S&W, or a 3” barreled 38, with the right ammo. I’ve got both.
Majority of the time I carry a Glock 32 in 357 Sig caliber or my Sig P-365. 9mm. Hard to beat the Sig P-365 with 13 rounds with a spare 15 round mag or two in my back pocket. Most important thing, other than being armed, is practice with what you carry, and situational awareness 😬

Ron told the congress to work on it so constitutional carry will pass here soon. AL and TX (our other states) already are.

Kentucky concealed carry permit is $60 for 5 years. I keep mine even though we have constitutional carry, because it makes it easier when you're buying a gun.

Same, I also keep one because I travel so much and many other states recognize my permit.

In Colorado here. My wife and I renewed our's last year and it was $80. Thing to remember, even if your state has constitutional carry , if you travel thru other states, you will need a CCW if they require a permit (if they are reciprocating state.)

Don’t need a permit to carry in Arizona. I have one anyway. It’s good to get by on a purchase without going through a NICS check.

When CCW permits started in CO, NICS checks were not required if you had one. Then the damn liberals in our legislature, pushing for more gun control voted to stop that.
