I met Kermit Roosevelt at a barbecue in Meeker Co in the 50's. I was just a spit of a kid, but I did know who he was and his family. My only connection to the past.

Must have been Kermit Jr, Kermit Sr committed suicide in 1943. Jr. appears to have been a pretty colorful guy too.

I have always thought Teddy Roosevelt was one of our finest presidents; especially in contrast to what we have suffered under in the last dozen years. Different times make different men, I suppose. Ted Jr. was truly a fine man as well and it is a shame he was taken so early. On the other hand, he certainly had nothing more to prove. These men were worthy of admiration and emulation. GD
