I wasn't aware that Amazon owned Ring. Ya learn something everyday. Kind of figures though.
I've got one, but just on my front door. My old door bell button was screwed up and I needed to replace it, so we got a Ring. Not much to see but the UPS guy, Fedex guy, and the Amazon guy. They also get to watch me take the dog out for a schit at 5:30am every day. The annoying thing is that it puts out an alert whenever there's movement. Our dogs know that when they hear that sound, they know that there's something out there, even if it's only a rabbit or a deer. That's OK if there's something for me to look at. Plus, I can talk to whoever is there. So on the weekends they're watching me mow the grass, our phones are going off every time I pass the front door and the dogs are going crazy.

My friend owns a company that does the internet systems on airlines. He said they were forced by a 3 letter agency to install back doors in all their systems and to provide the access keys to this law enforcement agency. They were required to do it even for foreign airlines. He says they monitor all your web usage while flying.
My neighbor is a former employee of a federal agency that used to listen in on phone calls. He told me they record every sound your phone ever picks up and can go back through and listen to everything if they want. He said they record even when you think your phone is turned off. He proved to me by having me turn my phone off then we talked about hot tub cleaning chemicals. When I later turned my phone on I got a ton of adds for hot tub chemicals. He said that's just the marketing algorithms.
He said the government saves everything and has their own logarithms that trigger an investigation. He said he listened in on phone calls all the time without a warrant especially when one caller was foreign.
I hated that my wife and kids used Alexa but my neighbor said as long as we have smart phones in the house the feds have everything anyways.
We have blink cameras on the outside of the house what is the issue?
Who owns/controls "blink"?
Are your cameras hooked to the "cloud"?
Did you watch the OP video?
The desert is a true treasure for him who seeks refuge from men and the evil of men. In it is contentment In it is death and all you seek (Quoted from "The Bleeding of the Stone" Ibrahim Al-Koni)
I have cameras everywhere around my house. There is virtually no crime in this suburb, 25,000 people and only one murder in 100 years. Some black guy strangled his white wife 30 years ago.
But we have animals in the garden: 1) Black tailed deer 2) raccoons 3) rabbits 4) mice 5) Eastern gray squirrels 6) Douglas Fir squirrels. 7) rats 8) cats 9) dogs 10) boys and their dogs 11) robins 12) crows 13) bald eagle taking a dump
