I’ve been looking at these since I switched over to Glock, they were designed by Tom Jones and Todd Green. The SCD or Striker Control Device, allows you to place your thumb over it like you would a hammer when holstering and it gives you feedback if something is hitting your trigger.

It actually blocks the striker from moving when the trigger is pressed given enough thumb pressure. It is not a safety and will not affect the operation of the gun. It simply tells you STOP something isn’t right when holstering your Glock.

I bought a couple of these and the measure of safety they add gives me peace of mind when holstering my gun. I don’t like aftermarket parts on Glocks other than sights but this is the one exception I’ll make.

Interesting, thanks for pointing these out. I like the idea, would want to play with one for a while before I trusted it fully of course.

The xdm grip safety provides similar functionality in that having your thumb on the back of the slide activates the safety. I like having it, especially with any sort of iwb holster.
