Both the Dems and the media (same thing) want a showdown between Trump and DeSantis.
I doubt they are going to get that. DeSantis doesn't need a beat down so early in his political career. Ask Ted Cruz.
Speaking of Cruz, what’s up with his 2024 run.
Several months ago he said something to the effect that he was the obvious choice in 2024 because he came in second back in 16.
Any new developments with his run.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.
Cruz is screwed because if Trump doesn't run DeSantis will.
Progressives are the most open minded, tolerant, and inclusive people on the planet, as long as you agree with everything they say, and do exactly as you're told.
Voted for Nixon in '72 and have voted in every election since, never for the Democrat. Did vote Libertarian in '92 against GHWB, and Libertarian in '96 when Clinton beat Dole. I repented and since the have voted for the Republican, even McCain and Romney (that one I almost didn't).
The republicans can sure put up some bad candidates (Reagan and Trump excepted).
Patriotism (and religion) is the last refuge of a scoundrel.
Both the Dems and the media (same thing) want a showdown between Trump and DeSantis. It'll give them the best ratings and their hope will be that they will destroy each other and whoever moves forward will be bloody enough to beat.
If Trump, DeSantis and their advisors are smart, they won't do that. That's a poorly veiled demoRAT trap that I would hope wouldn't be touched with a 10 ft pole.

Hell, McCain was tough.

Despite my preconceived ideas about Trump I was onboard the Trump for president train as early as anyone. Of all the stuff I believed about Trump or had read about him the one thing that I never questioned was his love for this country. For whatever reason at the time, right or wrong, I believed that Trump was a Patriot and thankfully I was right. By the time we got done with Obongo we were in the throes of an impending Klinton regime when thankfully a PATRIOTIC, wealthy, brash, New York narcissist showed up out of nowhere and successfully battled the demonic Klinton. Trump was exactly what was needed and he gave us a glimpse at what could be. He proved to me that he has his priorities for this country in order and he’s showed us what a real president looks like. Trump is not perfect and he made some mistakes. I’m willing to forgive mistakes when those mistakes are a direct result of NOT being a politician.
This is very good!

Unless the Dems pull some secret weapon out of a hat, they have nobody worth a damn and nothing to run on. They're strategy is simple - eliminate Trump, get you to protest against voting out of a sense of integrity, cheat more, or a combination of those.

He is a Benedict Arnold who I dont trust but if Between him and a democrat I’ll vote for him cause i trust him just a red c___ hair more than a democrat
We might have to be neighbors, but I don’t have to be neighborly. John Chisum
Anyone who would refuse to vote for the Rep presidential candidate over the Dem candidate because your favorite didn't get the nomination is cutting off their nose to spite their face. Which would you trust to select the next Supreme Court Justice? That's one of the most important jobs the president has. If you're a 2A or Pro Life guy, you have got to still go with the Republican candidate. Not to do so is stupid.
Used to think like that, but the curtains have been pulled back and they strangely look alike . If you ain’t seeing that , grab a soda and some pop corn . It actually has been obvious for quite some time , but you can only give benefit of doubt for so long . Taxes , that far enough back for ya ? Kenneth
