I have got pretty efficient at putting in tubes in mower tires with my little harbor freight setup. I'm down to about 20 minutes, front or rear. I think I paid like $20 for the bead breaker, and another $9 for some 3 set of pry bars.

but I agree with the thread title -- that is mans work he is doing. .....young man's work

I lived in a small town in South Carolina for 7 years. There was a muffler shop in small steel building. They would do minor mechanic work
If they thought they could handle it. It was rumored that it was also a place where cops would take confiscated firearms to sell them for cash.
They were always busy and there was alot of unexplainable cop traffic over there. My Ford shop was across the street and could see his building from my desk. I would send over exhaust and welding jobs to him. He was good for that. Small southern towns are a different kind of place.
