Dad has an old Browning BPS shotgun with a 30" full-choke barrel. He'd like to have it cut back to 28" and have it threaded for choke tubes. Who do you recommend?
-OR-
Where can one find a BPS barrel with Invector/Invector+ for less than an arm and a leg?

Maybe cheaper to find a threaded barrel barrel, sell the 30”” one. They are hard to find. I have several BPs shotguns. They are my favorites, throw hulls at your feet.

Send the barrel to Mike Orlen. He'll do a good job at a fair price.

Bear in mind......... The barrel will have to be cut at a rib post. The farther back (shorter) you go, the higher your front bead will be and your POI will be changed.

I have an Upland BPS with a 20" barrel that was hell on turkeys when I used it... switch out chokes and it was a hell of a timber gun for mallards. Cut it and have it threaded.

Thanks for the information. This is an old BPS with the mag cutoff switch. It's been through the ringer but been a good one.

Comp-N-Choke might be able to help on cutting and threading.
