I know, I know.........but I really have no idea This is a Hill Country Sheep rifle that was built on a Remington action, has a fluted bolt, trigger tech trigger, edge stock. I just got the rifle back from pac-nor where they installed a stainless super match 8twist barrel that was chambered in 257 wby. The action has a black teflon coating and I had pac-nor cerakote the new barrel in titanium. What is this gun worth......I have not fired it since it has returned from having the new barrel put on.

I honestly cannot even estimate what that is worth, best way to find out is put it on Gubroker and start it at what you feel you want for it.

1000.00. You can never get what you have in a custom rifle. The cost of the stock alone today is $750. Double D- I sold my .257 WBY on Gunbroker last year (700 action, Bansner stock, SS Broughton Barrel, Timney trigger and coated action) for $1700. I'd suspect yours to be in that neighborhood but perhaps a bit more - especially with the growing number of Hammer bullet super-fans out there that'll wet themselves over the 1:8 twist.

Agree, you can never recover the cost when selling anything custom.

I agree that you won’t break even or recoup the money, however I believe that you could get more than $1,000, probably about twice that. Give or take.
Best of luck!

I’d say depending on the overall weight you could go from $1500-$2200. The lighter the more dough.

Hammer’s suck! But it would sure launch a Berger 133gr or 135gr nicely with that 8 twist.

If Hill Country were selling it they would be asking $6k no problem.....since it's their "sheep rifle" the weight should be a selling point.
