I've read his first 3 novels. Decent books written in what I thought was a puffed up, stuffy style.

Seems like I remember Jack Carr being signed in here at the fire talking about the soon to be released "Terminal List". Even on here I thought the guy sounded stuffy, or kinda puffed up about himself

Then today I discovered Jack Carr on youtube. Just the opposite of stuffy. Not at all puffed up. I watched a couple of interviews.

Not the first time I've been wrong about first impressions...

And what I saw in the interviews revealed a little about how he writes, in my mind anyway. I'll be reading the rest of his books.

Enjoyed the books, and the Amazon series.

I really enjoy his podcasts.

I’ve got the books. Haven’t read them yet. Get to them this winter.

Pick em up a books a million on the bargain aisle.

Fug paying full price.

I listen to his Danger Close podcast. ( which may be the same as YouTube interviews.)

Worth the listen.

I mentioned what i thought was a puffed up, stuffy writing style.

Carr kinda wraps his protagonist, James Reece in the flag, patriotism, mom, apple pie, and respect for his father. And it kinda seems overdone, in my experience, as I've never really known anyone who was truly like this.

In listening to a couple of interviews, I kinda believe Carr himself may really be like this. At least more so than 99.9 of 100 guys that I know. And he's not a regular guy, by any means. Regular guys don't do what he did in his military service. But in his interviews he has a regular guy vibe.

Can't really say, for sure, but I suspect so...

Happy Cramper,

I wouldn’t judge Carrs’s work by a TV show….

Didn't know there was a TV show til yesterday.
Didn't know Carr had a youtube page til yesterday.

And I'll check some more of his stuff out, eventually. A little of that stuff goes a long ways.

I would, at least in part. He was executive producer.
