Did anyone ever tape a Bottle Rocket to one? Legit question. There is no tellin' how many of those things I bought. You could get them at the grocery store by the checkout. I can't imagine them being only a dime, though. I remember them being around even in the ‘60s and the ones with the prop and wheels were even more fun. IIRC, you could slide the wing forward for it to go a long way or slide it back in the slot to do a loop. After they started getting a little tattered, a firecracker on the fuselage would put it out of its misery. 😁 I remember these quite well, had loads of fun with them. We used to tape a 30 cal carbine case to the under side of the fuselage, insert a firecracker, light the fuse and give it a toss. When the firecracker went off that balsa wood glider would really take off.

After they started getting a little tattered, a firecracker on the fuselage would put it out of its misery. 😁 I'd say even in the 50s. You could also angle the wings to make it loop. Clothes lines and guy wires made short work of the wings. The first ones that I remember had a cylindrical plug in the nose for weight, the later ones had the crimp-on weight.

Did anyone ever tape a Bottle Rocket to one? Legit question. Yup, with varying results.
Don't fire unless fired upon. But if they want a war let it begin here.

I haven't done that with the nut/flaring tool, but, I've done it plenty of times with electrical connectors and not getting heat-shrink on before setting the connection. Done that too ! Probably not my last either Lol , me and another lineman working Hendrix cable s long time ago weren’t used to sealing the splices as overhead conductors were bare wire . But the Hendrix had to have the splices sealed . Sleeves were pressed on with a hydraulic press , wire was 500 aluminum . We were working in the mid of the summer in gloves and sleeves , unit work , shieting and getting . We got the first jumper squeezed up and realized we left the shrink wrap off which had to be slid onto the conductor before sleeving . I can tell you those pressed sleeves do not come off easy . Took a good hour and several cutter wheels to cut that sleeve open and get the wire out . We had to cut several slits in it , there weren’t no peeling it off . Then we did a repeat , foreman wasn’t happy . Kenneth
